Give Me Trees Trust is one of the largest community-led environmental organisations in India, dedicated to restoring the country’s natural landscapes. For over 48 years, it has led large-scale efforts in tree plantation and conservation across the country. It was founded by Swami Prem Parivartan, known as Peepal Baba, whose lifelong dedication to protecting trees laid the foundation for this movement.

Our Approach to Restoring Land and Growing Green Spaces
Urban Forest Development
With the expansion of cities, access to green spaces has become limited. Urban forests and green belts help bring trees back into these environments and create spaces where people can experience nature.
Nature Education
We conduct workshops, school programs and community activities to spread awareness about the importance of trees and the environment. Programs in schools, colleges, and communities encourage people to understand the value of trees and take informed action in their own surroundings.
Water Conservation and Management
Without water, no landscape can survive. Our water harvesting structures help rainwater seep back into the soil and support a healthier environment.
Agroforestry
It focuses on introducing and maintaining tree cover within agricultural landscapes. By integrating trees alongside cultivated land, it becomes possible to create landscapes where tree plantation and agriculture exist together in a planned and sustained manner.
