The soil that we purchase from nurseries for potting plants is no different from the one that we can as well get on our own at just no cost. All that one has to do is to go to a nice park or a wooded area with lots of trees and start scraping the soil.

The leaves that fall in the park or plantation site decompose on their own so the soil beneath it is very rich in organic matter. Even if we scrape this soil just from the top it is an excellent potting soil, so you just don’t have to buy soil. All that one needs to do is go to any area where there are lots of trees, vegetation and leaves that have been falling for years. The top layer of soil in that area can be scraped off and that soil will be very rich and healthy soil, and this soil just doesn’t need any kind of fertiliser, compost or manure. Nothing is required.

You can just go to the park or forest fringes or wherever trees are dense, just bring that soil home and use it for balconies, terrace or wherever you have put planters and use the soil in abundance there. This is the best way to save money and also use healthy organic soil for plants just at no cost.
